Ronald P. Zappile Back
Ron Zappile is a senior consultant with Bartram & Cochran and a principal of The Zappile Group. He has almost 40 years of diversified senior management experience across a wide range of disciplines including real estate, supply chain management, logistics and transportation, finance, treasury, R&D, manufacturing and training and development. Ron recently retired from United Technologies Corporation (UTC), a Fortune 50 $54 Billion company after a 32- year career in positions of significant responsibility.
He served as the Director of Global Real Estate Operations for UTC and also as President of United Technologies Realty, Inc. (UTR). Ron also was CEO of CoreNet Global until April 2010 and is an affiliated consultant with Bartram & Cochran.

Ron's financial and operational experience is extensive, multi-faceted, and international:

As President of UTR, designed and implemented the centralized management of UTC's global real estate portfolio of almost 108 million square feet of space in almost 5,000 individual locations. He developed an industry-recognized best practice for integrating, deploying and managing an international network of outsourced real estate alliance partners that has completed more than 7,000 transactions globally since 2001.
Ron oversaw the disposition and adaptive reuse of more than 25 million square feet of industrial, office and manufacturing space globally; while simultaneously overseeing due diligence activity and organic growth adding more than 20 million square feet of industrial, office, retail and manufacturing space worldwide.

Prior to UTR, he was with Otis Elevator Co. (a division of UTC) where he formed part of the management team to close or relocate numerous manufacturing and engineering operations in both North America and Asia/Pacific; and while based in Singapore, Ron and the executive team established new manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, India, Korea and China, and laboratory and testing facilities in Japan.

Ron, an Eagle Scout, served as a merit badge counselor and assistant troop leader for St. Mary's Troop 175 in Simsbury.
Education:
Mr. Zappile earned his BS in Managerial Sciences from Manhattan College; received his MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University; and completed post-graduate work at University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
