Peter Holland brings over 25 years of Fortune 100 and not-for-profit experience in real estate, economic development, low-income housing and micro-enterprise development to the Firm. His real estate experience has included a broad range of property types in both domestic and international locations. He has created and implemented strategies for major-scale residential developments, campus-style corporate headquarters facilities, agricultural, timber and mining properties, industrial and warehouse facilities and office properties. He is skilled at aligning real estate strategies in support of an organization's key mission and operational objectives.

For over 20 years, Peter was associated with The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., one of the nation's largest insurance and investment companies. At The Hartford, he was a Senior Vice President responsible for real estate, procurement, global sourcing, business resiliency, and corporate services such as security, logistics and food services. He recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of CoreNet Global, the world's premier association for corporate real estate professionals.

Recent assignments include:

  • Served as lead negotiator and representative for major institutional investors in the renovation and ongoing operation of 180 apartment units (market and tax credit) in ten multi-family properties in Hartford, Connecticut
  • Created a strategy for the sale of multi-site properties held by a residential real estate development company
  • Developed long-term master plans for major corporate locations
  • Led site-selection teams to locate and develop new facilities for regional offices, call centers, processing centers and manufacturing facilities
  • Managed numerous creative adaptive reuse projects for functionally obsolete industrial properties and a corporate education and training facility
  • Personally negotiated over 100 major lease transactions, domestic and international
  • Led recovery of operations following the loss of a 100,000 SF World Trade Center facility on September 11. Firm was operational in a new Park Avenue facility by late October 2001
  • Advised a major law firm on an office renewal or relocation strategy
  • Advised a major utility of the reuse and disposal of several office facilities including a headquarters building
  • Responsible for the disposition of a $300 million mortgage portfolio
  • Managed exit strategy and sale of surplus equity investment office properties and surplus land

Mr. Holland's extensive community involvement includes: Director, CoreNet Global the Atlanta-based international economic development and corporate real estate organization; Past Vice Chair, Hartford Local Initiative Support Corporation, advancing the housing and economic development mission of regional community development corporations with financial and advisory services; active service in MetroHartford Alliance, the local chamber, and chaired first major site sector tour to the "knowledge corridor" and active in general recruiting of business to the area and downtown Hartford issues; former Board Chair, Loaves and Fishes, a soup kitchen, job training and micro-enterprise development organization; former, Vice President, Alliance Francaise, a French cultural and language training organization; and former Director, Asylum Hill Inc., a neighborhood improvement organization.

Mr Holland received a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA in international business from the University of South Carolina.
